The Improvement Association formed in November, 2010 has been responsible for new banners, benches, trash receptacles and flower planters along Historic Main Street. A walk down historic Main Street in Reisterstown has become a destination for antique hunters from throughout Maryland. Well over 200 years old, the town preserves much of its historic architecture in charming shops and restaurants. Area schools and new town homes also capture the small town ambiance. Innovative restorations have turned Victorian houses into locations for bookstores, consignment shops, offices for real estate agents, salons, photographers, and other small service businesses. We want to invite everyone, whether a visitor or area resident, to take a walk along Main Street.
