Giant Food is Now Open at Mill Station- Owings Mills

We were honored to participate in last Friday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Giant Food store which is located at Mill Station (the old Owings Mills Mall area). There were many distinguished guests, including our very own Councilman Julian Jones. This beautiful new store is 66,000 square feet, and has a hot bar, Starbucks and everything that you may be looking for at a grocery store.
Welcome them to the neighborhood by visiting them soon.

Each year, our chamber has participated in The Reisterstown Festival, and we will again this year on September 7th and 8th.

If you are a member and would like to be seen in the parade, come walk with us! You can hand out marketing items to the crowd as you walk.

In addition, you can meet and greet the members of our community by volunteering at our table during Saturday or Sunday. While you are there at our table, you can give out your own marketing items as well.

Hertzbach & Co Was a Busy Place Last Week!

Hertzbach & Co hosted last week’s Lunch & Learn for over 30 business professionals. Not bad for a mid-August event!
They spoke to attendees about how fraud can happen to any sized company and gave us examples of real-life cases.

Santoni’s delivered another delicious lunch to us as well!

Our member, Advanced Heating and Cooling, is a Lennox partner. They wanted to spread the word about Lennix’s initiative, Feel The Love which lends a helping hand to families in need, specifically those with critical home comfort necessities.

Lennox’ Feel The Love program invites individuals and local organizations across the country to nominate deserving families or individuals in their communities to receive heating or cooling equipment at no cost. Lennox provides the equipment, and Lennox dealers donate their labor and installation materials.

FREE Entrepreneur Academy

Baltimore County Public Library and Enoch Pratt Free Library are pleased to announce the third session of Entrepreneur Academy. This series of workshops is designed to help both start-up and established small businesses. These free sessions are taught by subject matter experts and will cover market research, financial record-keeping and taxes, legal issues, marketing the business, exploring financing and writing the business plan, and will provide opportunities for networking. Registration is required for this series of seven classes and participants should plan to attend all classes.

Help Shelter Pets When You Join Our DogFest Walk

Be a DogFest Fundraiser!

Even if you can’t make the walk you will be changing the lives of homeless pets for the better when you become a Fundraiser.

This year all proceeds from our DogFest Walk go toward replacing our dying van. Our Van is an essential part of our organization. It allows us to transport shelter pets from overcrowded municipal shelters and overtaxed rescues to our no-kill shelter where they will be well cared for until they find their forever homes, no matter how long it may take.

Homeless pets who comes to us in need of medical care are transported in our van to medical appointments throughout the area so they can receive the best possible treatment. Our van is an important part of our Pet Memorial Services. We also use our van for frequent maintenance supply runs which help us repair our aging facility.

When you join our DogFest Walk,
the funds you raise will help us continue our life-saving mission. 
We could not do it without you

BGE Traffic Impacts Along Reisterstown Road 

During the week following Labor Day, BGE will return to Reisterstown Road to perform preventative maintenance work on its underground transmission circuit. This will result in the modification of vehicular and pedestrian traffic along Reisterstown Road north of the intersection with McDonogh Road and Craddock Lane as follows

Two northbound lanes will remain open but be shifted to allow for the work zone. The left-turn lane from southbound Reisterstown Road to eastbound Cradock Lane will be closed and detoured.

To access Cradock Lane when traveling southbound on Reisterstown Road, motorists will be directed to turn left on Avalon Way and turn left on Greene Tree Road to Cradock Lane.

The sidewalk along northbound MD 140 from Cradock Lane and Crossroads Drive will be closed.
