We will be awarding 10-15 grants of $1,000 each
to member businesses at the end of September.

We are looking for members to propose projects
or display a need for financial assistance for COVID-19 relief.

The Chamber is excited to bring this new opportunity and serve the great businesses making up our community and membership this year and forward.

Historic Glyndon Sesquicentennial Celebration
Sept 10-12

Baltimore County’s first historic district celebrates its 150th Anniversary September 10-12, 2021. The celebration will include events for all age groups and is open to the public.  Events will begin on Friday evening with a children’s torch relay/fun run through the historic community followed by a full day of family events on Saturday to include a 9/11 remembrance ceremony, a 5K run/walk, guided walking tours, train exhibits, trolley rides, historic fire engines, business open houses and sidewalk sales, and a “Glyndon Gala” at the Historic Emory Grove Hotel.

The celebration will culminate on Sunday afternoon with a “150 Years of Glyndon” parade, an outdoor concert by US Fleet Forces Band Wind Ensemble, and a family picnic.  Some events may require tickets and/or have limited availability.

To start out- the hours of operation for the Welcome Center will be aligned with when the shops on Main are open and people are shopping and strolling.

We are in need of volunteers who would like to take on one of these shifts weekly or bi-weekly. You can greet anyone that comes in, talk to people about what to do, share any info off of our table, take any brick orders, and share your vast knowledge of our town’s history.

“Seven manufacturing and retail businesses in Maryland are receiving microgrants from a $500,000 Opportunity Zone investment, Governor Larry Hogan announced Friday.

“Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski today announced that Baltimore County and the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) have awarded more than $2.47 million in grants to over 50 local community-based organizations to support their recovery and enhance efforts to strengthen neighborhood resiliency.

Funds will be used to support a diverse range of community efforts, such as emergency shelter and advocacy services for victims of domestic violence, support for food pantry expansions, installation of ADA compliant bathroom upgrades, mobile vaccination efforts, community financial counseling programs, and much more.”
