Join the Chamber Energy Purchasing Cooperative
SAVE MONEY ON YOUR UTILITIES; RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL PROGRAMS
Must Sign Up by February 28th!

The Chamber of Commerce has partnered with energy management experts, CQI Associates, to administer and manage the Chamber Energy Purchasing Cooperative. The increased purchasing power of the Chamber Purchasing Cooperative has allowed members to receive lower rates than they could typically attain on their own.

During CQI’s recent fall campaign participants saw a combined savings of $889,600 !
Presidential elections, erratic weather conditions and global tensions are making the energy market volatile. If you would like to stabilize your utility rates you should join the cooperative by participating in this next round of competitive supplier pricing.

The current campaign begins February 3, 2020 for both new participants and renewal members who have contract renewal dates through to December 2020.
TO ENROLL IN THE ENERGY COOPERATIVE:

1. Complete and sign the attached Letter of Authorization
2. Provide one copy of your most recent Utility bill(s), all pages, for all electricity and or natural gas accounts you are enrolling
3. Scan and email copies of the above documents to Jennie Anderson at

4. Send the original documents to the Chamber

We partnered with the Reisterstown Improvement Association in 2019 and tried a new community event- The Annual Reisterstown Beer & Wine Festival. It was a success- so we are doing it again in 2020!

The Reisterstown Craft Beer Festival brings together some of the best Maryland breweries, wineries, and distilleries in one amazing event. The event features live music, artisans and food celebrating all things Maryland. Admission includes a souvenir tasting cup and unlimited samples from breweries, wineries, and distilleries from around Maryland.

Wine, cocktails, and bottles to take home are available for purchase.

General admission is $30 in advance on Eventbrite/ $40 at the gate.

Transportation will be provided from the District by Woodlawn Motor Coach, as follows:
Stop One: Leaving from Owings Mills Library, 10302 Grand Central Avenue, Owings Mills, Maryland 21117 at 4:00 pm

Step Two: Leaving from Randallstown Community Center, 3503 Resource Drive, Randallstown, Maryland 21133 at 4:30 pm
Buses will be leaving Annapolis at 8:00 pm, returning to the District by 9:00 pm and 9:30 pm respectively

Community Town Hall Meetings

On Tuesday, Feb. 11 County Executive Johnny Olszewski and I will host a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave. in Owings Mills.

We want to hear your ideas and priorities for the 2nd District of Baltimore County and beyond. This is an opportunity for public discussion focused on future budget priorities and to ensure community members have the chance to provide input into the budget planning process. Additionally, there will be on-site information from Baltimore County agencies to provide more immediate access to services and further connect residents with available resources. Please spread the word, as we look forward to having as many people join us as possible.
