Brick Bodies / Lynne Brick’s is a chain of coed and women-only health clubs located in the Baltimore, Maryland area. The one women-only health club operates under the Lynne Brick’s brand and is located in Belvedere Square. The three coed clubs operate under the Brick Bodies brand and are located in Timonium, The Rotunda, and Reisterstown.

Brick Bodies/Lynne Brick’s clubs have a comfortable atmosphere that is only possible in a privately owned and operated facility. The programs at the clubs are results-oriented, a reflection of Victor’s training as a physical education instructor and Lynne’s background as a shock-trauma nurse.

The Core Purpose of Brick Bodies is to help people change their lives for the better.

Our Member Dixie Leikach, Independent Sales Director of Mary Kay Cosmetics, is doing something special for charities this year. She explains her initiative here:

 #50in50
I’m challenging myself to do 50x”5Ks” and raise $50,000 for various charities during my 50th year (Nov 2019-Dec 2020)

Those interested can follow my journey on Facebook by friending me or looking for the hashtag #50in50.

I’ve finished 10 x 5Ks so far and raised money for Guinto’s Helping Hands, Children’s Wish Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Pharmacy Ethics Education & Resources.

So far it has been super fun and I’m hoping to raise awareness on a variety of good causes! Suggestions are GREATLY appreciated as I have some months in the year that I haven’t identified a charity of the month yet!”

Go Dixie!

BBJ’s Speaker Series: Lessons The Green Berets Can Teach Us

January 16, 2020
8am-9:30am
BBJ Offices
2nd Floor
36 S Charles St.
Baltimore, MD 21201

Often times we find ourselves tasked with audacious goals but lack the resources (human, capital, etc) to reach those objectives in the time allotted. By using the techniques of collaboration with like-minded partners to reach common goals, we can draw on some lessons that the Green Berets perfected. This session will also include aspects of agile/design based thinking/actions.

This session is intended for business owners, sales, marketing, business development and project management professionals, etc.

Monitor Snow Removal Status in Baltimore County

This year, we’re excited that we’re launching a new online tool to help residents monitor our roads when it snows. During a snow event, our new snow route map will provide residents with a simple color-coordinated status report of all of our county’s 164 snow plow routes.

As we move into the new year, I want to wish each and every one of you a happy, healthy and successful 2020. This is the time for reflection and goal setting for the year ahead. I am proud of the work that each of us has accomplished together. I look forward to continuing to come together and uplifting our entire community through one another.

I want to take a moment to talk about the Comprehensive Zoning Map Process (CZMP) and where we are at in the process. CZMP takes place every four years on an exact schedule specified in the County Code. Any citizen may request a zoning change on any property in the County, although the usual participants in the process are individual landowners, contract purchasers, community organizations, county staff, the Planning Board and the County Council. The CZMP covers a period of approximately 12 months and results in zoning decisions that are reflected in a final log of issues. In total, 40 issues have been filed in the 2nd District. I have filed 13 of those issues. Of the issues that I filed, I have recommended that 222 acres be down-zoned. You can learn more about the CZMP process and the issues that have been filed below in the newsletter. I believe in respectful development and protecting communities. The down-zoning of these 222 acres would ensure we keep the 2nd District’s suburban and rural character beautiful and vibrant. You can view the log of issues that have been filed here.

As your councilman, I am honored to have the opportunity to partner with community organizations, schools, advocates and residents to help push our district forward. If there is anything I or my staff can help with, please reach out. You can contact my office by email at council2@baltimorecountymd.gov or by phone at 410-887-3385.
