The Chamber Updates
2 Big Giving-Back Initiatives Need You!
Our two members, Kalonnie’s Gifts & Designs and Dixie Leikach of Mary Kay have launched their 2nd year of Adopt a Grandparent Thanksgiving Day Project, and they need your participation to make this year a success.
By sponsoring a “Box-Of-Joy” for ONLY $20, you will make the heart of a local assisted living resident feel full. These boxes are filled with items that will make them happy and it is a small way to say “Thank You” during Thanksgiving.
And Businesses! Listen Up! Sponsor 5 or more boxes and you can place your business card or a 4×6 postcard in each box.
Let’s All Rally to Help Kalonnie and Dixie Give Out 200 Boxes This Year!

The Northwest Scholarship Fund has awarded a local High School Senior a total of $2,000 in scholarship money over their 4 years at college for a very long time. Like many non-profit entities, this fund has been impacted negatively in recent years and is needing to replenish in order to continue its mission.
They recently had a fundraising event at Mitchell’s Golf Complex and many of you had wanted to donate using VENMO, but our VENMO account wasn’t quite ready yet- BUT IT IS NOW!
If you would like to donate to this worthy cause which will help to financially support a local high school student with their college expenses, you can donate via VENMO to our profile by finding our User name @Northwest-ScholarshipFund using your phone or by following this link: www.venmo.com/u/Northwest-ScholarshipFund. The last four digits of our phone number is 7073.
Any amount helps- $5, $10, $30- Whatever it is, your generosity will allow this scholarship to continue it’s mission.
Watch this May to learn which local High School Senior won this sought-after scholarship!
