We partnered with the Reisterstown Improvement Association in 2019 and tried a new community event- The Annual Reisterstown Beer & Wine Festival. It was a success- so we are doing it again in 2020!
The Reisterstown Craft Beer Festival brings together some of the best Maryland breweries, wineries, and distilleries in one amazing event. The event features live music, artisans and food celebrating all things Maryland. Admission includes a souvenir tasting cup and unlimited samples from breweries, wineries, and distilleries from around Maryland.

Resolution to Move Work Session Time to 6 p.m.
At the County Council legislative session on Tuesday, Jan. 21, Council members Izzy Patoka, Wade Kach and David Marks will introduce a Council resolution to move the starting time for all work sessions from 2 to 6 p.m., effective Feb. 11, 2020.
“An open, transparent government is an accountable government,” Patoka said. “The residents of Baltimore County deserve to have their voice heard in their local government, and we have a responsibility to ensure we are providing as many opportunities for public input as possible. By moving work sessions to the evening, more working families and individuals can participate in this important process.”
“Over my five years serving on the County Council, I have heard serious concerns from many constituents and County residents regarding the scheduling of Council work sessions at 2 p.m. Residents with daytime jobs are not able to take time off of work to come to Towson to testify on matters that would directly impact them,” Kach said.
Work Sessions, which take place essentially every other Tuesday at 2 p.m., are effectively the committee hearings for Council legislation to be voted on the following Monday. These are important sessions because they allow the public to observe the Council substantively engage each other, as well as county residents, on the merits of legislation on the Council’s agenda.
“Ensuring that all Work Sessions take place at 6 p.m. or later will allow for much greater public participation and I believe, a richer and rigorous legislative process,” Marks added.
