2025 Northwest Chamber of Commerce Farmers Market Guidelines and Policies

Weekly Market Info: Wednesdays from June 18th – October 15th, 2025, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Located at the Hilton Garden Inn. 4770 Owings Mills BLVD, Owings Mills MD 21117. We welcome all applications as this is a non-exclusive market. Vendors must have products that are handcrafted for purchase. Any commercial businesses interested in participating would need to be a market sponsor. 

Set-up: One parking space (unless additional space is otherwise agreed upon) is available at 2:00 PM each week with sales begin at 3:00 PM. Cars must be parked in the appropriate spots (indicated on market layout page) or securely within assigned vendor space. YOU MUST BE ON-SITE BY 2:30PM UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY NORTHWEST CHAMBER STAFF.

Tear Down: The Market closes at 7:00 PM, unless we deem weather-related reasons to close early . Vendors and sponsors are required to stay open until 7pm with no tear down until then allowed as well as leave the space void of trash,   A $25 fine will be charged for any early departure or trash left behind.  Any repeat offenses (determined by Northwest Chamber Staff) will result in not only additional fines but a possible request for the seller to leave the market for duration of season with no refund of deposit.
 
Market Cancelations: Our market will be expected to open each week. However, if the weather forcast is showing dangerous storms for the hours of our market, we may decide to cancel. If there is a heat warning or storm which would not put you as a vendor in danger, we will be open. If we are contemplating a closure, we will send a notice a day prior. A final decision will be made by 10am on market day and an official cancelation email will be sent.  If our market is open, vendors are expected to attend. 

Excused Absences- If a vendor needs to leave the market earlier than 7pm, they must notify the staff of The Northwest Chamber no later than 24 hours in advance. If a vendor has to miss a week, they must notify us no later than the Monday prior to that week’s market in writing via email or text.
Equipment Needed: Vendors and Sponsors are required to supply their own table, chairs, tent with appropriate weights and other setup needs. There will be no electricity available. 

Fees: Upon joining the Northwest Farmers Market, market vendor fees are non-refundable, however, the deposit is refundable pending approval. The Northwest Chamber does offer monthly payment plans for vendors. Please speak with a staff member to learn more about these options.  The $100 refundable deposit will be forfeited by the vendor if there are more than 2 unexcused absences during the entirety of the season or fails to pay in full any fees owed.  If a vendor leaves our market for any reason, their weekly vendor fee as well as their deposit will be forfeited by them. 

Renewals: Vendors who demonstrate punctuality and professionalism throughout the season are always welcome back for the following year. Grandfathered renewal fees are due before general public applications open each year. 

Insurance/Permits: All vendors must provide a certificate of insurance, including the venue’s address as an additional insured. Food vendors must provide a permit from the Baltimore County Department of Health. Please ask if you need to get in contact with our representative.

Safety: Vendor safety is always top of mind. If you notice any unusual behavior at the market, please notify us.

Promotion: We ask all vendors to promote this market via social media, email , word of mouth and text message market as they are able. The Northwest Chamber will be running print and online advertising throughout the season. Vendor promotional participation will only make our market stronger for everyone.
