Our Popular Beer & Wine Garden is Still Going Strong

Every Friday night since May 31st,  we have offered our community a Beer & Wine Garden. The comments that have been made to us from our attendees have included “I’m so glad to see this offered during Music on Main Street. All other summer music concerts have this” ,  ” This is a great way to listen to Music on Main Street concerts while also being able to talk to my friends”, and ” Please keep doing this. It’s been awesome!”

As the word has spread about our cold beer, wine and sodas, we have seen more and more of the community come out to meet us and learn about The Northwest Chamber of Commerce.

Below are a few pictures of this past Friday night’s crowd and volunteers

There are only 3 more Friday nights for this popular community gathering spot, so join us on Friday nights through September 6thfrom 6:30pm-9:15ish pm. at the Old-Ski-Shop / New Reisters’ Daughter Parking Lot.

Help Shelter Pets When You Join Our DogFest Walk

Be a DogFest Fundraiser!

Even if you can’t make the walk you will be changing the lives of homeless pets for the better when you become a Fundraiser.

This year all proceeds from our DogFest Walk go toward replacing our dying van. Our Van is an essential part of our organization. It allows us to transport shelter pets from overcrowded municipal shelters and overtaxed rescues to our no-kill shelter where they will be well cared for until they find their forever homes, no matter how long it may take.

Homeless pets who comes to us in need of medical care are transported in our van to medical appointments throughout the area so they can receive the best possible treatment. Our van is an important part of our Pet Memorial Services. We also use our van for frequent maintenance supply runs which help us repair our aging facility.

When you join our DogFest Walk,
the funds you raise will help us continue our life-saving mission.
We could not do it without you

Individuals who raise $50 receive free entry to the festival and a free DogFest t-shirt!

Recreation & Parks Update:

Last week, I was pleased to learn from Baltimore County’s Property Management Department that a lot of exciting upgrades are underway and being completed to improve our parks and green space in Reisterstown and Lutherville-Timonium

Franklin High School’s new artificial turf field project is scheduled to wrap up this week. The $600,000 project will be ready for fall programming. A walk-through is being scheduled with Baltimore County Public Schools and the Recreation and Parks Department this week to get everyone’s approval.

At Reisterstown Regional Park, Property Management has started work on the four track paths on the baseball diamonds.

Also at Reisterstown Regional Park, the County will be de-lipping all four of the baseball diamonds later this summer/early fall, weather permitting. The $60,000 project is part of an upgraded ball diamond maintenance program. The four diamonds will be out of service all fall to make sure the new sod takes hold.

At Hannah More Park, ball diamond No. 1 is going to be de-lipped later this year, weather permitting. Last year, diamond Nos. 2 and 3 were de-lipped. The 90-foot diamond will be out of service during repairs to make sure the sod takes hold

At Hannah More Dog Park, Property Management and Rec and Parks provided an estimate to install a drain system and trench to help water runoff caused by the large water tourgs that volunteers have placed at the park. This work was completed July 15

Also at Hannah More Park, Property Management fixed the leaky water line inside of the large dog park. This work was completed July 10
