Our Board Said Goodbye
Sally Shapiro-Gould has taken our Chamber to success during her time with the Northwest Chamber of Commerce. New programming, new member benefits and always fun events will be her legacy.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors along with the Leadership of the R.I.A. said “happy retirement” to Sally last week at Glyndon Grill by throwing her a surprise retirement party.
Sally will still be around and she has left the Chamber in extremely capable hands with Emily Winters, our new President.

We partnered with the Reisterstown Improvement Association in 2019 and tried a new community event- The Annual Reisterstown Beer & Wine Festival. It was a success- so we are doing it again in 2020!
The Reisterstown Craft Beer Festival brings together some of the best Maryland breweries, wineries, and distilleries in one amazing event. The event features live music, artisans and food celebrating all things Maryland. Admission includes a souvenir tasting cup and unlimited samples from breweries, wineries, and distilleries from around Maryland.
Wine, cocktails, and bottles to take home are available for purchase.
General admission is $30 in advance on Eventbrite/ $40 at the gate.

Learn How to Put Together an Internship Program at Your Business
The Baltimore Collegetown Network is holding a free Internship Bootcamp on January 21st at UMBC from 8:30 to 11 AM. The Bootcamp event is geared to help small to medium sized companies with the tools needed to put together an internship program. BCN has done a number of these events over the past few years and they are usually filled to capacity.
Baltimore County supports the Collegetown Network with a small annual grant and our funds are earmarked toward this event and others that help companies connect with students.

BGE to Resume Work Along Reisterstown Road
BGE will resume its work along Reisterstown Road starting in February. The project will continue through early May. This phase of the work will impact the areas between and around Old Court Road and McHenry Avenue. As always, BGE has created a modification of traffic plan with the Maryland State Highway Administration and have sent letters to the impacted community.
Please note that businesses adjacent to the work zone will remain open during construction.
BGE does not expect that your service will be interrupted as a result of its work. If a temporary interruption is required, BGE will notify you in advance.
To learn more about this project, BGE invites you to attend an open house on Monday, Jan. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Mark’s on the Hill Episcopal Church, 1620 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville. BGE’s project staff will be in attendance to provide information and answer questions.
