The Chamber Updates

Our Board Said Goodbye

Sally Shapiro-Gould has taken our Chamber to success during her time with the Northwest Chamber of Commerce. New programming, new member benefits and always fun events will be her legacy.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors along with the Leadership of the R.I.A. said “happy retirement” to Sally last week at Glyndon Grill by throwing her a surprise retirement party.

Sally will still be around and she has left the Chamber in extremely capable hands with Emily Winters, our new President.

Our 1st Lunch & Learn of 2020 was Packed

We had another sell-out Lunch & Learn last week! Thank you Merritt Athletic Club- Owings Mills and Marquis Neal for hosting us. Marquis did an excellent presentation about stress and how to manage it. We all needed that!

Our next Lunch & Learn’s registration is below in this newsletter.

Our January Drop-In Lunch at Jose Tequilas- Owings Mills Sold Out!

Delicious tacos and more were enjoyed by over 30 attendees at our Drop-In Lunch Networking event last Tuesday at Jose Tequilas-Owings Mills. We enjoyed menu options as well as a taco bar which they offered to us.

Thanks to the attentive and welcoming staff whom made this an amazing time.

Member Spotlight:

Originally chartered April 1, 1950, as Baltimore Telephone Federal Credit Union, a few things have changed since our very first days. Obviously our named has changed to Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union and we’ve added on a few branches as our field of membership has expanded.

As a not-for-profit institution, you as a member and partial credit union owner are at the center of everything we do. Rather than pocket profits, they’re returned to you in the form of higher rates on deposits, lower rates on loans, and convenient, budget-friendly account management tools. When excess profits exist at year-end, a bonus dividend is declared and deposited into members’ accounts.

Rather than become just another bank customer, we invite you to become a member and partial owner of Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union. We commit to offering you unparalleled, one-on-one service, backed by offerings that aim to provide solutions for your evolving needs.
