We partnered with the Reisterstown Improvement Association in 2019 and tried a new community event- The Annual Reisterstown Beer & Wine Festival. It was a success- so we are doing it again in 2020!

The Reisterstown Craft Beer Festival brings together some of the best Maryland breweries, wineries, and distilleries in one amazing event. The event features live music, artisans and food celebrating all things Maryland. Admission includes a souvenir tasting cup and unlimited samples from breweries, wineries, and distilleries from around Maryland.

Wine, cocktails, and bottles to take home are available for purchase.

General admission is $30 in advance on Eventbrite/ $40 at the gate.

Designated Driver tickets are only available at the gate.

Reisterstown Library Renovation Meeting

Just a few weeks ago, I joined leadership from across the state to testify in support of The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future – a transformational plan to create a world-class education system in Maryland.

I’m very pleased to announce that The Blueprint passed the House by an overwhelming majority!

This historic bill is the result of hundreds of hours of meetings and testimony from parents, business leaders, and education experts to determine what we need to build a strong workforce and a robust economy.

Now, we are closer than ever to expanding pre-kindergarten for low-income three-year-olds and all four-year-olds, hiring and retaining more high-quality and diverse teachers, providing more resources for the students who need it most, ensuring our students are college and career ready, and implementing greater accountability measures to ensure funds are used effectively.

Our most important and sacred duty as elected officials is to leave a brighter future for our students, and my colleagues in the House have upheld their commitment to our children. Soon, all of our children, regardless of their zip code, will have the opportunity to succeed.

February was a busy and productive month in the 2nd District office. More than 90 constituents called or emailed with issues that they needed assistance on. I am proud to say that my team and I resolved 98 percent of those requests that we received. My No. 1 priority is to serve the residents of the 2nd District. This is why we work so hard to provide relentless follow-up when solving constituent issues.

Hundreds of 2nd District residents recently attended a town hall meeting co-hosted by County Executive Johnny Olszewski and me. I appreciated you sharing your thoughts, ideas and concerns. I am going to continue working hard for you in an open, transparent, accessible and responsive manner. We still have much to accomplish together, and I look forward to delivering more positive results in partnership with our incredible community groups, neighborhood associations, small business owners, stakeholders and residents. Many thanks to the Gordon Center for Performing Arts and Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Greater Baltimore for hosting us!

I’m so thankful for all the engaged residents we have in the 2nd District of Baltimore County, and it is truly a pleasure and privilege to serve you all each and every day. Serving as your council member on the Baltimore County Council is a responsibility I do not take lightly.
