BREAKING NEWS
Earlier this morning,Governor Hogan announced that he is ordering ALL Marylanders to stay at home, effective 8 pm this evening.
No Maryland resident should leave their home except for an urgent reason—to obtain food, medicine or medical attention, or to travel to an essential job.
Essential businesses are still allowed to remain open. Any person who willfully defies this order will be charged with a misdemeanor
“This is a deadly public health crisis,” Hogan said. “We are no longer asking or suggesting that Marylanders stay home — we are directing them to do so.”
The Chamber Updates
A Special Message From Emily Winters
President
Northwest Chamber of Commerce
I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during these unimaginable times. I am working through our directory to check in with all of you on a one-on-one basis and hope to talk to you soon.
If your business remains open and categorized as essential, I encourage you to share any messages, specials you’re running or ways we can promote ongoing sales to everyone who is stuck at home.
If your business was unable to remain open during the lock-down, how can we spread the word to join in and support you?
Our biggest goal right now is to assist our members however we can, so please stay in touch with us.
I wish you all the best through the coming weeks and look forward to seeing you once all this has passed.
Emily M. Winters

How You Can Help Our Members Affected By Closures
As a rule, when we schedule our networking events, we try to patronage our restaurant and retail members as much as we can. Unfortunately, these members will now have a dramatic change to their daily revenues. This includes their staff as well.
Even though we can not meet together this month at their establishments, we ask that you still support them by ordering delivery or takeout meals as well as donate items and shop at Ruth’s Closet, where we were scheduled for an event.
Go through our directory and find a member for a service that you need or for lunch or dinner options. Buy a gift card at a member location so you can enjoy time there when the crisis is over.
We wish you all good health and we want to know how
we can help you or your business during this trying time.
