As Baltimore County Looks to Expand Transit Access, Survey Will Gather Resident Input and Ideas

Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski released a transportation survey that will allow County residents to share information about the transportation challenges they face, and solicit input and ideas about how those challenges can be addressed.

The survey is a step in a larger effort to increase transit options for County residents and identify other opportunities to help people get around more easily and efficiently.

*One of my legislative aides, Carlos Gonzalez, attended the Franklin police community relations council meeting to present County Council resolutions to several outstanding officers. Carlos also presented a resolution to Stephen Bouchard who was instrumental in helping the Franklin police precinct secure five RAD Power Bikes at the cost of $2,000 each.

*Izzy spent his birthday with TABCO, Teachers Association of Baltimore County and our incredible educators and education advocates at TABCO’s town hall meeting. We have an unprecedented opportunity to dramatically improve education in Baltimore County. This is our moment.The longer we wait, the more opportunities we miss to do right by our young people, our families and the future of our communities and neighborhoods.

No child should have to endure overcrowded classrooms, crumbling infrastructure, brown drinking water or any other deficiency in our schools.This is why it’s so important we fully fund the Kirwan Commission’s recommendations. We have a profound moment to make major strategic investments in education. Our state needs to get this right.
