The Reisterstown Festival
The Annual Reisterstown Festival was a HUGE Success! The beautiful weather this past weekend brought out our community to enjoy all-things Reisterstown and more. We even saw a few of our members taking part in the parade with us; Ensor Plumbing, Baltimore Humane Society and the Reisterstown Improvement Association. Here are a few pictures of our fun!

Our Beer & Wine Garden Wrap-Up
This summer, The Northwest Chamber hosted a Beer & Wine Garden each Friday night during the RIA’s Music on Main Street. It was a new initiative for us, and it turned out to be one of the most fun things we have done in our community!
We began to see our “regulars” as well as new friends each week.
The attendees remarked how wonderful it was to have the beer & wine garden available during the concert. It gave them a place to relax and talk with friends while enjoying a cold adult beverage legally.
We learned a lot, and next year will be bigger and better!
We thank ALL of our weekly volunteers and of course, our new friends from the community for making our initial year a big success in many ways!

Our Popular Beer & Wine Garden is Still Going Strong
Every Friday night since May 31st, we have offered our community a Beer & Wine Garden. The comments that have been made to us from our attendees have included “I’m so glad to see this offered during Music on Main Street. All other summer music concerts have this” , ” This is a great way to listen to Music on Main Street concerts while also being able to talk to my friends”, and ” Please keep doing this. It’s been awesome!”
As the word has spread about our cold beer, wine and sodas, we have seen more and more of the community come out to meet us and learn about The Northwest Chamber of Commerce.

The Glyndon Community Association is hosting an adult only (21 and up) costume Halloween Party Saturday October 19th at the Emory Grove Hotel in Glyndon!! Festivities will begin at 8:30pm after the families and little ones finish their annual Halloween Spooktacular. DJ/ beer and wine and hot and cold hors d’oevres will be included. Tickets will go on sale next week $25.00 pp for GCA Members/$30.00 pp for non members. Tickets are limited so don’t wait!!! Much more info coming but save the date!!! In July, Councilman Patoka voted to support the approval of a contract for drug treatment provider Gaudenzia to operate at the former Rosewood Center campus in Owings Mills. This is a major step in the right direction as Baltimore County intensifies its efforts against the opioid epidemic and works to improve treatment options.
Recently, the Councilman joined county administrative officer Stacy L Rodgers, Health and Human Services director Gregory Branch, Del. Shelly Laskin Hettleman and representatives from Gaudenzia and neighboring Torah Institute to discuss how they can all be good community partners.
