Baltimore County Council Chairman Julian Jones and The Northwest Chamber Brings a Community Revitalization District to Owings Mills

During this past summer, we worked closely with Councilman and Chairman Julian Jones to bring a CRD designation to parts of Owings Mills .through Resolution No. 10-23,

This county’s newest CRD area includes parts of Red Run Boulevard between Owings Mills Boulevard and Cherry Hill Court and a section of Reisterstown Road from Painters Mill Road to Dolfield Boulevard. In these areas approximately 1,600 businesses are found with over 23,000 workers coming daily.

Our Executive Director, Emily Winters, approached Chairman Jones over a year ago with this initiative, and they with our COO Kathleen Dorsey have been working since then to bring this CRD to Owings Mills businesses.

A CRD designation brings four major programs to businesses within its boundaries. These programs help in infrastructure improvement, tax relief, and area aesthetic enhancement.

Watch for more updates as we work with a roll-out to those businesses which will benefit from this new CRD designation. The Northwest Chamber continues to advocate for its community and businesses.
