The Forbush School

Services to the Community:
- Work Based Learning Program- students have successfully completed office/clerical tasks at the school. We are looking for business partners where students can work a few hours each day doing entry level tasks. We are also looking for businesses to use our Business Support Services where students perform the following tasks for local businesses: copying, collating, cutting, laminating, and complete mailings.
- The maintenance enclave provides support with various tasks both on our campus and in the community
- Culinary Arts: – open for small luncheons with small on-campus dining room (capacity 50) (advance notice required)
- Horticulture: Holiday floral arrangements (available by special order) Annual spring plant sale at the greenhouse.
- Carpentry: students can make picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, wooden pen/pencil sets, cutting
boards, flower boxes - Community-based Enclaves – Always looking for community business partners so that students can gain entry level work skills. This would be a few hours per week with a job coach provided.

Stevenson University

Stevenson University, known for its distinctive career focus, is the third-largest independent undergraduate university in Maryland with more than 4,400 students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, and adult bachelor’s programs at locations in Stevenson and Owings Mills. Founded in 1947 as Villa Julie College, Stevenson offers 29 career-focused undergraduate degree programs as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees for working adults through its School of Graduate and Professional Studies.
Services to the Community:
Stevenson University offers cultural and education programming such as theatrical performances, concerts, visiting speakers, sporting events as well as volunteer services through student organizations and student interns for various businesses and companies in the area.
